Velázquez on Rosh Hashanah

Washington, DC – Rep. Nydia M. Velázquez (D-NY) released the following statement in advance of Rosh Hashanah, which begins Sunday at sundown:

"I am excited to wish Jewish families throughout New York's 7th Congressional District a healthy and happy Rosh Hashanah. As we prepare for great ventures in the New Year, I encourage New Yorkers to reflect on how our Jewish neighbors have shaped New York's culture and contributed so much to our country – serving as lawyers, doctors, first responders, military members, teachers, and community organizers.
