Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Nydia M. Velázquez (D-NY) announced that an education center within New York's 7th Congressional District has received federal grants to continue its Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
"I am proud to announce that Grand Street Settlement, Inc. will receive federal funding to continue educating our New Yorkers of all ages, income levels and abilities," said Velázquez. Washington, D.C. – Two Members of the U.S. House of Representatives have introduced legislation aimed at ending a predatory commercial lending practice that, according to media reports, has harmed many small businesses in recent years.

Maloney (NY-12), and Jerrold Nadler (NY-10), today led a letter to Federal Aviation Administration Acting Administrator Daniel Elwell, urging the FAA to ban all non-essential helicopter flights over New York City.
