Washington, DC – Rep. Nydia M. Velázquez (D-NY) has introduced legislation that would reestablish the Federal-Financing Bank and Risk Sharing Program, which helped with the creation and preservation of affordable rental housing in New York City and across the country. The bill, entitled H.R. 8824, or the Federal-Financing Bank Risk-Sharing Act of 2020, would reimplement the aforementioned program and expand it to make community development financial institutions (CDFIs) eligible for participation.

Grace Meng (D-NY), have led thirteen New York Democratic colleagues in sending a letter to the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Inspector General posing serious concerns over the operation and distribution of food under the USDA's Farmers to Families Food Box (FFFB) program in New York, a federal COVID-19 relief effort to combat the rise in food insecurity.

Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) have sent a letter to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in support of Empire Wind's Port Infrastructure Improvement Plan to build what would become the nation's first offshore wind production hub at the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal (SBMT) in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
